Echter, in principe is een IP camera hetzelfde als een computer die op de router wordt aangesloten. Je hoeft niets in de router aan te passen.

Je hebt wel voor draadloos gebruik een aantal gegevens van de router nodig, maar zorg er eerst maar voor dat de camera bedraad werkt. Maar eerst moet het netwerk de camera herkennen. Als je dubbelklikt op het IP camera icoon krijg je een venster te zien met het adres van de camera op het netwerk (zie figuur 2.1 in de handleiding)?

Zonder dit adres (als de camera niet door het netwerk wordt herkent) kan je weinig doen, dus het is absoluut noodzakelijk dat je deze stap met succes doorloopt. Als de camera herkent wordt en een netwerkadres heeft schrijf dit dan op.
